Old City 2BR Apt w/ Shuffleboard! Walk Everywhere!

The home is in a great location, and we enjoyed the shuffleboard. At first glance, the space seemed clean and free of obvious dust or debris, but upon closer inspection we found several items needing attention. There were stains on multiple throw pillows, towels, and bed linens. The living room rug was visibly dirty and should be replaced. The primary bathroom had chipped tiles with visible mold, rusted trash cans from moisture, brown drip marks around the glass panes, and an unfinished ceiling that appeared to have had leak repairs. The main vanity had one large fluorescent bulb missing, rendering it inoperable. The shared bathroom shower requires stepping over a fairly steep tiled ledge, which felt unsafe when exiting wet. The lack of a shelf for shampoo and soap was inconvenient and required storing toiletries on the shower floor, which felt unsanitary. Overall, we were disappointed. The home has potential, but addressing basic maintenance items would improve the guest experience.

Such a pleasant stay! Very quiet and comfortable. It’s in a great neighborhood! I highly recommend Cafe Ole for breakfast just two blocks to the left on the same street!

Overall a good stay. Great location and space for 6 of us. I would stay here again but there were a few things we didn’t like. The windows in the room with 2 beds are really old and it sounds like the windows are open. The washer/dryer combo is small and those are notorious for not drying clothes well. Expect to run a few drying cycles. A drying rack or two and a portable fan would better, especially if you have to do multiple loads. We ended up hanging them up in the master closet and it took a while to dry. There was a plumbing issue during our stay, but I get that things happen. I’m not upset about that because stuff breaks and things happen. The shower in the bathroom with the washer/dryer was clogged. And clogged like it was up to your ankles within a minute. We notified them the next morning. They didn’t come out until the next day. That’s fine. Now the plumbers didn’t lock the door when they left and it was unlocked for about 8 hours. Not ok. Fortunately all of our stuff was ok.
